Hotel El Faro

Lovely hotel set in an amazing quiet location overlooking the water. We were in 352 with a huge private balcony. The room itself is not so large and only accessible via a slow private elevator. We would have been happy with stairs! The rest of the hotel is in good condition but the style is a bit dated. We had nice cocktails made by the great bar staff and dinner was pretty good. Breakfast was ok but pretty basic. Overall we loved El Faro and would happily return.

A dream. Myself and my partner spent 6 days here. The resort has plenty of pools and interesting activities to keep you busy. The staff is exceptional, each member welcoming, professional and willing to help! The location is spectacular, impossible to achieve elsewhere, with the addition that it is very quiet and spacious. The breakfast was perfect, your usual buffet breakfast, lunch was provided at the pool bar ( amazing even better than dinner at times). Inside they have a classic games room with chess, cards, backgammon and much much more. the staff was super helpful. One last thank you to the wonderful staff and we hope to see you again next year!

El Faro is a beautiful property and true to the photos you see on their website. The views of the bay are just amazing. I recommend a sea facing room with a balcony, which is where I am sitting right now, listening to the water lap against the rocks. Yes, it is that tranquil here, you can hear the water from your room. The entire property is very clean, well maintained and apparently they recently renovated, and it shows. Guest rooms are very comfortable with rooms of all sizes and budgets to choose from. Bathrooms are new with clean modern tile, nice fixtures and comfortably spacious. All the guest room doors and windows are also new, high quality, and operate smoothly. The front desk staff are extremely patient (for us who don't speak Italian) and helpful with planning local excursions and meals out. We always enjoy the Italian hotel breakfast, very nice selection, especially when looking out at a beautiful view. Friendly staff like Manuela bringing your cappuccino is also something to look forward to. You can be self contained at this property and on some days, we have happily enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner all onsite. A wonderful model when you want time at the sunbed and swimming in the calm waters. In summary - Highly Recommended!

Friendly hotel, the rooms are spacious and pretty with large balconies. Unfortunately my room wasn't cleaned very well which is rather disappointing for a 4 star hotel (hairs in the bathroom, little pieces of dirt). The breakfastroom is with a beautiful sea view, however the breakfast itself is very disappointing with low quality food and very limited choice. Plus, the tomatoes had mold on the top. Last disappointing thing was the receptionist. Not helpful in any manner, not dedicated to his job. All in all cute hotel with amazing location but still potential to scale up.
